Chaplain DeAnna
Chaplain DeAnna Marie Christmas is an ordained minister and a Board Certified Chaplain. She is a native Californian. She earned a BA in Human Biology from Stanford University. After a 30-year career with IBM, she retired in 2011 and enrolled in seminary. In 2014, she completed a one-year CPE internship at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. She was delighted to find that hospital chaplaincy tied together her undergraduate pre-medical education, long-term interest in the medical profession, spiritual gifts, life experiences and desire for a vocation built around holy listening. She received her Master of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary in San Anselmo, CA. DeAnna currently serves as a Hospice Chaplain in the Greater Southern Alameda County Area. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and adventure!
